“All Is One” – What Does That Mean?
We hear “All Is One” bandied about frequently, but what does it mean, what are the implications? I stay in a constant state of questioning, thanking the universe for the answers I have received, and continually begging for more. Although answers come in many different forms, I have had two instances of a dramatic knowing impressed upon me, a visceral flash of insight so strong I was temporarily physically disabled while receiving it. The first one was in my early teens, and it was “The whole is contained within the smallest part”. This knowing was the answer to my question of “How does all this work?” The simplest answer possible. In our modern lingo we say, “But what does that mean?” A better way to phrase the question would be, “What are the implications?”
Everything is made from the same “stuff”, light. All of it. The heaviest atom to the aether (aka “the quantum foam”). It is all provided and funded by the thinking of the Universal One. For this universe of idea there is but one source, and so we can refer to it as Source, All That Is, God, Allah, whatever name you wish to use. The universe is created whole, frontwards and backwards, complete. As such it can only be perfect because it cannot be anything other than perfect.
If the whole is contained in the smallest part, then it follows each individuated part is simply an aspect of the whole. If all is one, then each individuated part has access to the whole to the extent it is willing and able to accept it. In order to have the experience of being individuated, separated, forgetting is required. Each entity must forget in order to have an individuated experience. The more that is forgotten, the more individuated the entity becomes.
The universe being whole unto itself in all aspects and dimensions, it follows that man creates nothing, there is only discovery and remembering. To the extent you believe yourself to be an individual, whole and complete to yourself, the more you are isolated from the Universal One. The more open to and aware of the truth behind your existence, the more you are able to remember and discover. This sounds like a simple thing, but the realization of it comes incrementally in waves of understanding. You will believe you understand it fully and then something will trigger a deeper understanding. Cherish those moments and beg for more.
